After embracing her gender identity as a trans woman, Dani Miranda faces persecution and threats. However, she rebuilds her love life and turns her struggle into political action, becoming a public figure who inspires both admiration and hatred — until she celebrates, during the Brazilian Carnival, the triumph of living fully as who she is.
